Shopmobility Supervisor (35 Hours per week) – Chester and Ellesmere Port (with occasional cover in Northwich and Winsford)

Our charity is seeking a suitably experienced and enthusiastic person to support the delivery of the Dial Shopmobility Service, which offers daily hire of mobility scooters and wheelchairs as well as the sale of mobility equipment and other independent living aids. Reporting to the Shopmobility Manager, you will effectively supervise volunteers and oversee the day to day running of our Shopmobility Centres, with the aim of achieving optimum revenue and the management of efficient and effective operating systems which ensure the delivery of an excellent, friendly, welcoming and reliable Shopmobility Service to disabled and older people across West Cheshire.

Kitchen Assistant and Cook (Part-Time) – Dial House Cafe, Dial House, Hamilton Place, Chester, CH1 2BH

Our charity is seeking a suitably experienced and enthusiastic person to support the delivery of the Dial House cafe service. The cafe is a thriving point of contact for disabled people and others in the local community, serving home-cooked food and snacks from Monday to Friday. This rewarding role is 16 hours per week over 3 days. The ideal candidate will have flexibility to cover for occasional staff absences etc.

Volunteers

Volunteers might want to develop skills confidence and/or employment prospects or simply help the community. We develop people from the community to help others within the community by offering a friendly, supportive and well managed volunteer scheme with extensive opportunities for training and development.

Volunteers help us deliver our services (eg Community Cafe, Disability Information & Advice, Shopmobility and Volunteering & Learning). Volunteer roles and opportunities for training include kitchen assistants and cooks, receptionists, disability rights advisers and form-fillers, Shopmobility assistants, shopping helpers and mobility equipment technicians. Volunteers also fulfill vital support functions such as directors/trustees, ICT, marketing & communications and administration, and we are always keen to hear from people who will volunteer to help with one off fundraising activities and events.
