Improving the lives of Disabled People
We have had to adapt and curtail most of our services in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.
All face to face activities are suspended until further notice.
You can find advice and information about our adapted services on our home page here.
Experts by Experience is a user-led quality monitoring project with the key aim of ensuring that people with Learning Disabilities and Autism and their Family Carers are meaningfully involved in the development of the Quality Assurance and Monitoring agenda across Learning Disability services within Cheshire West and Chester.
The key to this project is the involvement of our “Experts by Experience”; a person who has experience of using or caring for someone who uses health or social care services.
Our Experts by Experience act as quality monitors and undertake visits, talking to people who use services, their family and carers, and observe the environment around them. Their findings will be used to support the judgement on the service and can also be included in the report which then goes on to shape the landscape of services around them.
Would you like to be an Expert by Experience?
We are always looking for volunteers to join our project and perform quality monitoring tasks, particular those who are:
- An adult with a learning disability
- An adult on the Autism Spectrum
- Family carer of people with Learning Disabilities or Autism
If you would like to find out more about the project or speak to our project lead, please contact us.
