Improving The Lives of Disabled People

We work with a number of great organisations whose valuable donations go a long way to enabling us to provide the services we do to the people of our own community.

Every year the gentleman and lady captain of Chester Golf Club have the arduous task of choosing a charity of the year for the club to support.  This year, the captains, Paul Walker and Gail Powell, chose to support Dial West Cheshire.  We are honoured and privileged to have been chosen.
Chester Golf Club will be holding various fundraising events such as charity open competitions, dedicated charity days, player forfeits and bucket collections throughout the year. Not only will these raise valuable funds for Dial West Cheshire, they are supporting us hugely in raising awareness of our vision of a society where disabled people and older people can participate equally as full citizens.

A charity who gives media technology to people who are lonely and living in poverty have kindly donated a Television and smart tablets to our T-Club social group.
Meeting every third Tuesday of the month in Dial House Café, our monthly social group is for those aged 50 and above, where the T stands for Tea, Tunes, Technology and most importantly, Togetherness. T-Club is a Brightlife funded project to help reduce social isolation in people aged 50 and over in Cheshire West and Chester.
Wavelength’s generous technological donation will enable our team of volunteer organisers to bring the Technology portion of T-Club to our members, showing them how to use the technology and opening up a whole new world of communication in the battle against social isolation. The Television will enable us to hold movie afternoons which members have already shown a very keen interest in.
