“Mindfulness” with Graeme Waterfield

We will be doing a chair based mindful movement session comprising of gentle chair based Tai Chi movements and yoga stretches, mixed with relaxing mindfulness techniques. These movements and relaxation teachniques combined help relieve stress from the mind and body and are suitable for everyone, even those with limited mobility.

The session itself will usually last around 45 minutes and there will be time at the beginning and the end to ask any questions. There will also be some refreshments provided.

Graeme Waterfield is a fully qualified and experienced Yoga, Tai Chi and meditation teacher, who created this sequence initially for people who had had strokes and so were not able to do conventional Yoga or Tai Chi sessions.  However over time it became clear that these sessions could be used by anyone either able bodied or with physical limitations as a way of de-stressing, strengthening and stretching the body.
